This variety was developed on the basis of cannabis species such as NorthernLight and Afghan. As is typical of autoflowering plants, Aurora has a low stature and powerful fruit, as indicated by the large amounts of resin. The dominant phenotype is indica. It is arguably the most potent in its class.
The autoflowering inflorescences are compactly arranged so that growers are able to harvest large quantities of fruit. Indoors, they yield about 500 grammes per square metre of ready-to-eat or processed product. It is very popular with medicine due to its high THC content of 20%.
