North Korea and marijuana

North Korea and marijuana

Marijuana is legal in North Korea, given that everything else is illegal.

North Korea's experience with human rights is terrible, if you go on a trip there, you may never come back home. Still, it's interesting to talk about the differences in marijuana policy between North Korea and the United States. I think this highlights how dumb federal politicians are. North Korea, perhaps the strictest country on the planet, has legalized marijuana, but the United States considers marijuana a dangerous drug.

Known in Korean as "ip tambae", meaning "marijuana leaf tobacco", it is grown in large plantations before being picked and dried. Featuring primarily the working class and service industries, this "special factory" will be praised for its therapeutic properties. It is often promoted as a natural and healthy way to relax, as well as a pain reliever and as a result of hard physical work or active military service.

However, before you start thinking that Pyongyang is the forerunner of Amsterdam, it should be noted that marijuana is not very strong in North Korea. This cannabis is grown naturally in mountain fields.
