Ukrainian legislation does not prohibit the purchase and sale of hemp seeds. There are no cannabis seeds on the list of prohibited drugs in Ukraine. Therefore, by purchasing them in an online store, the buyer does not violate the law in any way. It is noteworthy that this applies to the seeds of all varieties without exception - even elite ones, which are used primarily for marijuana production. Cannabis seeds of any variety do not contain any banned substances.

Currently, it is illegal to cultivate cannabis in Ukraine without a license. The punishment for growing cannabis is written:

- Article 106-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine, illegal sowing or illegal cultivation of hemp in an amount of up to 10 (ten) plants entails a fine in the amount of 306 to 1700 UAH. with the confiscation of illegally cultivated plants.

- Article 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, illegal sowing or illegal cultivation of cannabis in the amount of 10 to 50 plants and entails a fine in the amount of 1700 to 8500 UAH, or arrest for up to 6 months, or restriction of freedom for up to 3 years.
