Cannabis and creativity

Creativity is not a conveyor. There are no details for creativity in the world, you can’t come up with something new, like from the details of a designer. In order to get the original, which can hook, you can’t do without creativity. Creativity can be defined as the use of the imagination, which generates original ideas that are embodied in creativity.

Often there are situations when for a long time the brain simply refuses to give out new ideas to the mountain. In this case, a little marijuana at the right time in the right place can give creativity an extra boost. It's no secret that cannabis has long been used by creative people as a kind of key to unlock the creative process. However, here, as in any business, one must not go too far, otherwise one can not help creativity, but harm it.

For the development of divergent or divergent thinking, which is so necessary for creative people, cannabis helps within reasonable limits. Divergent thinking is often used to bring together abstract ideas for creative problem solving. According to a study conducted in 2015 by British scientists, marijuana improves divergent thinking in 15 percent of cases.

Every creative person knows how difficult it is to focus on a particular thought or image. It has been experimentally proven that low doses of marijuana significantly improve the ability to focus on a task. Interestingly, in Europe, cannabis is used to combat ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

Often, immersion in memories of experienced events in life can be the impetus for the beginning of creativity. Cannabis has such a property - to extract details from episodic memory.

Historical evidence indicates that marijuana has been used for meditation for thousands of years. Historians are well aware that marijuana was the cure for distraction in ancient China. For a creative person, the ability to introspect and evaluate their emotions is a process that is necessary to think creatively and create.

Another important aspect of creativity is pattern recognition. A 2010 study found that cannabis use improved people's ability to process abstract ideas.

From a physiological point of view, creativity is stimulated by the fact that cannabis stimulates blood circulation in the brain, including the frontal lobe, which scientists define as the center of creativity and divergent thinking. Numerous tests in which people who are constantly engaged in creative activities took part showed that there is a direct relationship between increased cerebral circulation in the frontal lobe and the production of creative ideas.

However, it should be remembered that the effect does not turn out to be negative, it must be borne in mind that only careful consumption in the right environment can increase creativity.
