The Ministry of Ukraine will consider the possibility of treating PTSD with marijuana

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine on its official website announced the creation of a special working group to study the possibility of using medical cannabis in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The decision was made at the previous meeting of the Rada of Veterans, where they discussed the rehabilitation of veterans abroad and the creation of rehabilitation centers throughout Ukraine. It is assumed that the treatment will take place with drugs based on Medcon.

The legalization of medical cannabis was supported by Bizhan Sharapov, a neurophysiologist and former fighter of the Aidar battalion. According to him, Ukraine is not ready for the full legalization of marijuana, as Canada did, but medical cannabis could be a good treatment option for PTSD in ATO veterans. Previously, acting advocated for the use of cannabis for medical purposes. Minister of Health Uliana Suprun. Recall that the Rada is currently considering a bill on the legalization of medical marijuana, but so far there are no results on it.
