Medical use of cannabis in contact sports

Non-narcotic cannabinoids have become an ideal support for people whose lives revolve around martial arts and other contact sports. But why is hemp so useful that professional MMA fighters, hockey players and rugby players resort to it?

The benefits of preparations based on technical hemp

The palette of preparations, which include processed hemp seeds or its roots, is expanding every day: dietary supplements, hygiene products, various ointments, gels and creams for external use. Manufacturers are trying to squeeze the maximum benefit out of cannabionoids, relying on the disinfecting, analgesic and restorative properties of hemp. As far as sports are concerned, there are three ways in which cannabinoids can be used:

To suppress stress and relieve muscle tension. The mental stability of an athlete, his equanimity and ability to self-control is the key to his maximum performance. Taking cannabinoid-based dietary supplements has already proved its effectiveness: the mental state of an athlete before serious matches or competitions is leveled off, sleep patterns are normalized, appetite improves, and acute anxiety is replaced by relaxation and confidence in the positive outcome of the match (battle).

For recovery after the competition. Usually dietary supplements based on hemp are also used. They allow you to relieve excessive muscle tone, relax tired muscles and avoid cramps. At the same time, you can not be afraid of the negative “side effects” that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs hit on the gastrointestinal tract. In turn, cannabis-based ointments and gels help restore injured muscles and ligaments, anesthetize bruises and abrasions, disinfect and regenerate the skin.

To combat acute and chronic pain. Contact sports are for that and contact, that fatigue and a couple of bruises can not do here. Nothing relieves pain as gently and effectively, without undue stress on the liver, as cannabinoid-based products do. Even in the case of surgery (for example, when removing hernias), they make pain manageable, reduce the recovery period and quickly return the athlete's body to mobility and functionality.
